Zombies are the result of an attack from a Reaper, they cannot be captured and will mindlessly pursue targets.
In-Game[]
Any target, civilian or Xenonaut, who is killed by a melee swipe from a Reaper will immediately become a Zombie. Zombies will not actively try to attack, but rather, on the contrary, they will try to hide or run away, increasing the chances of a reaper hatching out of them.
Tactics against zombies[]
By themselves, zombies are a very weak threat. They can't move far, have a weak attack with their hands and little health. A much greater danger is that after death, or after a few moves, a reaper appears in his place, ready to attack.
Keep in mind the fact that no matter how much damage a zombie gets, an unharmed reaper will always appear in its place. Therefore, it is recommended to use weapons capable of firing bursts, for example, machine guns, since immediately after killing zombies, subsequent bullets will cause damage to the reaper. The use of explosives is permissible, but it will not prevent the appearance of the reaper, despite the fact that there should have been nothing left of the zombie that could become a reaper.
However, there is a way to kill zombies, in which the reaper will not appear. To do this, you need to stun him. Use electroshock and stun grenades, stun batons and other means to stun the zombie, and then it will explode, and the reaper will not appear.
Unit characteristics[]
|
- The game files contain several types of zombies, which differ in who was their victim, and as a consequence - in texture.
- Regardless of which type of reaper killed the victim, a reaper, not an alpha will always appear from a zombie.

- Despite the fact that, according to the technical characteristics, the range of attacks is 1000, the "isMelee" modifier does not give the zombies the ability to attack at such a big distance.
- The files contain 2 types of attacks - for zombies created by reapers, and by alpha reapers. However, they are identical in all characteristics.
